Hence the post on my blog questioning whether commission is a good motivator of salespeople or not. Counter to the 100% commission tweet you threw out yesterday.

I have yet to meet very many *general* sales guys who were not starving if they were sales guys who did simple tasks.

And most sales jobs have been broken down to simple tasks.

Which means most career sales guys have moved from simple task sales job to simple task sales job — and as a result are starving.

So the majority of this video does not apply… to the majority of sales people… in my experience.

Just my experience though.

Different note — I am personally watching the “too many leads is worse than not enough leads” at 2 different organizations I am working with right now.

Some days I swear I am living the movie “Groundhog Day” every day.
