Personal Branding.
For some reason, I happened to walk by this car today and the first two words that popped in my head were “personal branding”.
I wonder if this kind of thing actually works?

First thing that pops into my head is, “What’s this guys primary job, selling weight loss patches or doing mortgages?”
I don’t think that’s a good message to send.
On the other hand, I know for a fact that branding messages on a car work. I’ve got stuff on a Jeep tire cover that has struck up conversations in parking lots and gas stations and have plates that say “TPREG” — which has prompted people to say “What’s a TPREG?” (which is my real estate blog for those stumbling by that don’t know).
Great point about car ads working, I was reminded about that yesterday when I watched someone stop and write down a phone number from the back of a truck that was parked in the parking lot with an ad for a landscaper.
The funniest thing about this one — it actually had *three* signs on it. One for weight loss, one for mortgages and then one on the sign for a mobile notary service… all pointing to the same phone number.
My first thought was similar to yours – “I wonder what they say when they answer the phone when someone calls if they have three different businesses going all to the same phone number?”
And if I wasn’t so lazy, I would have called to find out.

PS
You actually read this garbage that I write? I need to polish up my game if people I admire actually read this stuff.
I wonder if the weight loss patches are so pricey that one has to mortgage the house…
